Report: Jets' Elijah Moore told then-OC Mike LaFleur to 'go f*** yourself' during season

According to reports, New York Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore erupted at then-offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur during a testy in-season exchange preceding his trade request.

Per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, Moore's blowup came in the days following the Jets 27-10 win in Week 6 over the Green Bay Packers. Moore ran 14 routes in the contest and wasn't targeted.

The same night of the apparent exchange with LaFleur, the wideout made his trade request. Moore wasn't traded, however, and after seeing just nine targets in five games from Weeks 4 through 9, he had 29 looks from Weeks 11 through 15.

While Moore is still on New York's roster heading into the offseason, LaFleur and the team recently mutually agreed to part ways.

At the time of the reported profanity-laced tirade, SNY's Connor Hughes described the incident as an "uncharacteristic outburst" from Moore that "surprised teammates and angered coaches." The following week, LaFleur denied that the blowup occurred.

Moore led the Jets in targets (77), receiving yards (538) and receiving touchdowns (five) during his 2021 rookie season, but finished with only 37 catches on 65 targets for 446 yards and one score in 2022. Instead, 2022 10th overall pick Garrett Wilson took over as New York's alpha wide receiver, leading the team across the board in targets (147), receptions (83), receiving yards (1,103) and receiving touchdowns (four).
