The defending AFC North champion Baltimore Ravens are determined to build a stout front on defense. Mere weeks after acquiring Pro Bowl defensive end Calais Campbell from the Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore has added another top player.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Baltimore has signed longtime Broncos defensive lineman Derek Wolfe to a one-year, $6 million contract.

Wolfe, 30, played in Denver for eight seasons. The former second-round pick is coming off a 2019 season that saw him record a career-high seven sacks. He’s been equally as stout against the run during this time, playing at a near Pro Bowl level.

Baltimore’s front seven is absolutely stacked with Wolfe, Campbell, Matt Judon and youngster Jaylon Ferguson.

The Wolfe signing comes days after the Ravens' proposed deal with free-agent tackle Michael Brockers fell through.
