The New Orleans Saints shook up the NFL world on Monday morning. They fired head coach Dennis Allen and named assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi to interim HC.

New Orleans has lost seven games in a row. The latest defeat came at the hands of the Carolina Panthers.

Saints players react to firing of Dennis Allen

Multiple players talked to the media about gearing the news about their now former head coach. They were noticeably emotional and many took part of the blame for the team's struggles that led to the decision by the front office.

Saints tight end Foster Moreau heard the news from someone you would never expect.

Learned from yoga

Moreau found out that Allen had been fired from his yoga instructor. It was not from a team executive or coach. Moreau was fired up regarding the team's problems that led to Allen's firing.

"This city deserves winners. These are f***ing tough people. And I'm not going to apologize for swearing. ... They've been through a hell of a lot and they deserve to watch sports teams who lay it on the line and come out with wins." -- Moreau

The tight end also mentioned that no one has addressed the team since the news broke, except interim HC Darren Rizzi.

Tyrann Mathieu chimes in

The long-time NFL safety and beloved piece of New Orleans took accountability, too. He's not avoiding any blame for the team's issues, from top to bottom.

"We all played a part in him not being here anymore... I think from an accountability standpoint, unity standpoint, this just gives a chance to get together and get tighter."

"Disappointed. Heartbreaking. First team I've ever been that basically got a coach fired." -- Mathieu

We will see how many more players discuss the major decision this week with the media. There seems to be no lack of accountability on their end, that they just did not get it done under Allen this season.
