The Seattle Seahawks (8-7) came up with two clutch wins against the Philadelphia Eagles (11-4) and Tennessee Titans (5-10) and now, they're back in the playoff picture.
The best part is the 'Hawks control their own destiny. Just win, baby, and you've made it to the dance. A win boosts Seattle's chances of making the postseason to 88%, but a loss drops them to 41%. They're in a good spot, but the journey is far from over.
The next step comes in the form of the never-say-die Pittsburgh Steelers (8-7), who are fighting for their playoff lives. Mike Tomlin and co. are currently 3.5-point underdogs, but one would be foolish to count Tomlin out of any game, regardless of any circumstance.
Will you be able to watch the game on TV? If you live in the red areas on the map below you'll get this game on your local FOX channels, according to 506sports.com:
The Seahawks-Steelers game (red) is the only game on FOX's late slate, but, FOX only has a single-header on tap for Week 17. Meaning, if your area schedules a 1pm ET game, then you won't be able to watch the game on TV. But, you'll be good to go if your area waits to broadcast the game at 4:05pm ET.
Regardless, if you don't live in the red areas, you won't be able to catch the game on local TV channels. Of course, there are plenty of other ways to watch in today's world. If you have YouTube TV, there's obviously the Sunday Ticket package that comes with it. There are other streaming sites such as FuboTV, DAZN, and others, as well.
And, if you don't want to deal with any of that - you can always listen to the game on the Seahawks Radio Network.
The Seahawks are 5-2 at home compared to 3-5 on the road. They had lost five straight road games coming into last week's game against the Titans, but they've also won five of their previous six home contests.
In other words: The Seahawks are a much better team at home.
Their schedule certainly plays a factor in this. Road games against the Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, and Los Angeles Rams easily overshadow home contests against the Washington Commanders, Arizona Cardinals, and Carolina Panthers. Though, Seattle did notch impressive home wins against the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles.
Geno Smith and the Seahawks offense are going to need to step up against an inconsistent Steelers defense if they want to win this game. The offense has scored more than 20 points just once in the last six games and has had issues moving the ball, outside of the Cowboys contest.
If the offense can turn in a respectable performance, then the Seahawks should enter Week 18 facing a win-and-in playoff scenario.
