Tom Brady has been retired from the NFL since 2023, but he has stayed involved in the game in many ways and has kept himself busy with work and other off-field matters.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion signed a 10-year, $375 million broadcasting deal with FOX a few months following his retirement, paving the way for him to become a commentator during NFL games. Aside from that, Brady is also a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, with his bid to purchase a stake in the team getting approved in 2024.

Outside the NFL, Brady has kept himself busy with his personal life, businesses and other commitments. His "CardVault by Tom Brady" card shop continues to expand to new locations, opening two stores in New York and Dallas this month alone.

More recently, the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB collaborated with YouTuber IShowSpeed and celebrity performer Oz the Mentalist.

Unfortunately for Brady, his busy schedule reached a point where it has begun to affect his health. In the latest edition of his "199" newsletter, released on Wednesday, the three-time MVP revealed that he got sick amid a "crazy October."

"Last week it all finally caught up to me," Brady shared after describing how he's been swamped with taking care of his kids who just returned to school, his businesses and fulfilling his duties with FOX.

"I was rundown and a little under the weather. It happens to all of us at one point or another. Illness. Injury. No matter how careful or healthy you are, if you are in a lot of different places every week, interacting with lots of different people, doing lots of different things to maximize every waking hour of your day, eventually a bug is going to get you. It’s your body’s way of telling you to slow down a bit."

For what it's worth, it appears Brady has already recovered. He was back at work during FOX's broadcast of the Philadelphia Eagles' game against the New York Giants in Week 8 on Sunday, and he didn't look sick at all.

According to FOX's tentative schedule for Brady, he doesn't have any broadcasting duties in Week 9. If nothing changes, the 42-year-old should be able to get some rest and give his body some much-needed time to recover following a hectic month.
