Travis Kelce: Chiefs 'as ready as we’ve ever been' for Super Bowl

The Kansas City Chiefs know a little thing or two about preparing for the Super Bowl, and bye weeks have never seemed to inhibit Andy Reid's squad from finding success. Reid's teams are 19-3 coming off a bye week during the regular season and 6-2 in the postseason following a first-round bye.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was asked about the team's success on Thursday, lauding Reid's preparation for the big game.

"I think just going into a bye week before the actual game, coach Reid does a great job of just challenging us to make sure we don't miss a day, we don't miss a snap, we don't miss a rep," Kelce said, per Pro Football Talk. "And sure enough, I think we're as ready as we've ever been this week."

Kelce has been one of Kansas City's most effective players this postseason, reeling in 21 catches for 227 yards and three touchdowns in two games.

The Chiefs will face their most formidable challenge yet in Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If they win, they'll become the first franchise to win back-to-back Super Bowls since Brady and the New England Patriots in 2003 and 2004.
