Cris Collinsworth did not do his patented "slide-in" ahead of Week 1 of "Thursday Night Football." Rather, the NBC broadcaster and his partner, Al Michaels, decided to wear something funky in the booth.
The two were paying homage to former Bears head coach George Halas ahead of the Bears' game against the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field.

While Bears head coach Matt Nagy wearing a similar fedora earlier in the day was all the rage, Twitter was not having Michaels and Collinsworth duplicating the look.

The Patriots aren't raising their banner tonight so Collinsworth could wear a funny hat on television.
