Key Points:

  • Urban Meyer held a costume contest
  • Dave Portnoy showed up
  • He dressed as a legendary coach

The Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes are 30 days away from their annual rivalry game showdown on Nov. 29, 2025 in Ann Arbor, giving coaches, fans and media plenty of time to speak their peace.

The Buckeyes are ranked number one nationally and the Wolverines are ranked 21st with multiple games yet to be played before 'The Game' at Michigan Stadium.

Michigan has won four straight games in the series, a fact not lost on Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who made a surprising appearance in a place many Wolverines fans fear to tread — Urban Meyer's Pint House in Dublin, Ohio.

The action was captured on camera as Portnoy endured boos to share his prediction for the big game this season.

Portnoy Invades Dublin, Ohio

Portnoy invaded Meyer's Pint House bar and grille in Dublin, Ohio dressed as former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, who won his last three games against Meyer's former team the Ohio State Buckeyes before heading to the NFL last offseason.

An Ohio based reporter initially thought Portnoy was dressed as Connor Stalions, a costume Meyer called for prior to his Halloween themed event.

Fans booed Portnoy as he made his way to the stage to share his prediction and to reveal a t-shirt Buckeye fans likely did not enjoy.

Portnoy Reveals Nov. 29 Prediction

Host Rob Stone introduced Portnoy alongside former Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and Urban Meyer.

"Somebody showed up as Jim Harbaugh...Everybody put your hands together, a big warm Columbus welcome for Jim Harbaugh, everybody!" Stone said.

"Better have security up here," Meyer said.

"Now we got a high energy crowd tonight," he added.

"Let's hold that thought for a minute...Do you really believe that that Wolverine team can beat this one this year?" Meyer asked Portnoy.

"I think it's a hundred times more likely than it was last year," Portnoy said.

"Like last year I faked sick, didn't go to the game didn't live stream it, I was just sitting in my house, I'm like, 'We're gonna lose by 40,'" Portnoy said.

"So, if we beat ya last year...," he added, trailing off as laughter was heard.

"It's been 2,163 days since Ohio State beat Michigan," Portnoy's shirt read as he showed it to local diners.
