The Minnesota Vikings made a series of roster moves on Tuesday, putting a starter on injured reserve, activating another injured player and poaching a practice squad player from a rival.

Minnesota put linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. on injured reserve, meaning he'll miss at least the next four games of the season and will be eligible to return for the regular-season finale against Green Bay.

Pace was hurt early in this past weekend's game at Chicago after he got bent awkwardly under a pile of players. Head coach Kevin O'Connell said it was a hamstring injury but didn't have any updates as of Monday.

To take his roster spot, the team activated rookie edge rusher Gabriel Murphy, who was a summer standout but suffered a knee injury in the preseason that has sidelined him to this point. He officially returned to practice early this month and was on the final couple of days of his 21-day practice window.

Finally, the Vikings signed linebacker Jamin Davis from the Packers' practice squad, filling the spot created a day earlier when the club waived tight end Nick Muse.

Davis was Washington's first-round pick in 2021 out of Kentucky but was released by the Commanders back in October and latched on with Green Bay. Over 50 games and 36 starts in his NFL career, he's totaled 282 tackles, seven sacks, one interception, six passes defended, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
