Watch: Baker Mayfield calls Myles Garrett's helmet slam on Mason Rudolph 'inexcusable'
Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

After the Browns' huge win over the Pittsburgh Steelers was overshadowed by Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett’s unspeakable act of violence , quarterback Baker Mayfield ripped into his teammate after the game.

When asked for his thoughts about the sequence in the final minute, Mayfield didn’t hold back in his displeasure with Garrett’s actions and called it "inexcusable" repeatedly.

Mayfield highlighted the team’s recent history of hurting itself in games, an issue that is clearer than ever after Garrett slammed a helmet into Mason Rudolph’s head.

As Mayfield said, Garrett will be suspended for his actions, and it will significantly hurt Cleveland’s defense. Garret was having an excellent game and was further proving why he is one of the NFL’s best pass-rushers.

Credit for Mayfield for not holding back and opening up to just how much this hurts the team and how inexcusable Garrett’s actions were. This is the type of leader the Browns front office saw in Mayfield, though, they wish it would be showcased under better circumstances.
