Watch: Buccaneers' Tom Brady annoyed over question about Raiders, Dolphins links

Reporters may want to shy away from asking Tom Brady questions about his future if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeat the Dallas Cowboys in Monday night's wild-card playoff game.

As explained by Mike McDaniel of Sports Illustrated, Brady was asked Friday about trying to prepare for the upcoming postseason matchup as rumors and reports continue to link him with the Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins among other could-be suitors.

"What’s the question?" Brady initially responded while appearing to hold in some frustration.

"I don’t know," he later said. "You guys have got to write something new every day. So, I just wake up, try to show up, and do my job."

It was said in late December that Brady, who can hit free agency when the new league year opens this March, could sign with the Raiders and once again team up with retired tight end Rob Gronkowski. That was before current Las Vegas quarterback Derek Carr penned an emotional farewell to Raiders fans and made it clear he believes he's taken his last meaningful snap as a member of the organization.

Earlier this week, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported that Brady joining the Dolphins in March is "definitely on the table." It was Florio who correctly noted last February that Miami wanted both Brady and former New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton for at least the 2022 NFL season, and Brady didn't deny in June he may have been interested in joining the Dolphins following Tampa Bay's playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams last January.

Brady understandably wants to remain focused on the task at hand and on possibly claiming an eighth career Super Bowl ring. However, it's difficult for others in the NFL community to ignore rumblings that seemingly indicate he's closing the Tampa Bay chapter of his career this winter in one way or another.
