Some teams go into Week 18 of the NFL season trying to secure playoff spots and division titles. Some teams have all of that already locked up and want to try and secure their players some milestone numbers or performance bonuses. Defensive tackle Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs were in the latter group on Sunday and they all had reason to celebrate when Jones recorded his 10th sack of the season.
That sacked earned him a $1.25 million bonus, and his teammates were thrilled to share in the excitement with him.

A similar scene unfolded in Baltimore on Saturday when Jadaveon Clowney recorded a sack that earned him a bonus.
The Jones saga is a fascinating one. He opened the 2023 season as a holdout trying to secure a new contract and spent the team's season-opening loss to the Detroit Lions watching it. Then he wraps up the season celebrating with his teammates because he reached his bonus.
He finished the regular season with 10.5 sacks while helping the Chiefs to their eighth consecutive AFC West title.
