Watch: Tom Brady tells receivers they need to be 'faster, quicker, more explosive'
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Tom Brady chewed out his wide receivers on the sidelines after a failed possession in the second quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Houston Texans.

Down 7-3 in the second quarter, the New England Patriots had a 3rd-and-4 from their 45, and Brady threw incomplete after a miscommunication with Jacobi Meyers. As he headed off the field, Brady was visibly frustrated. NBC later showed him telling his receivers they need to be better in pretty much all aspects.

NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth noted that none of the four receivers was open despite all facing man-to-man coverage.

Brady began the game with some awful stats. He was 5-for-13 for 57 yards and an interception over New England’s first four possessions, which resulted in just three points.

Now you know why Brady was so miserable despite being undefeated early in the season.
