The 2022 World Junior Championship schedule was released on Tuesday. The tournament marks the official restart of the annual ice hockey championship from last winter, postponed due to COVID-19-related issues among several teams.

The tournament will officially kick off with Czechia and Slovakia playing at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT, concluding with the medal games on August 20.

Latvia has replaced Team Russia, who has been banned from international play because of the sanctions for invading Ukraine.

Four LA Kings prospects have been named to their respective preliminary rosters: Brock Faber (USA), Helge Grans (Sweden), Brandt Clarke (Canada), and Kasper Simontaival and Samuel Helenius (Finland).
