Dean Letourneau was born in Braeside, ON, Canada, and it is looking like he could be drafted at some point in the first two rounds of the draft. Letourneau was born February 21, 2006, and stands tall at six-foot-seven tall and 179 pounds.
Letourneau played this past season with St. Andrews College “A” mainly in U18 AAA and scored 61 goals and 127 points in 56 games. Letourneau is a right-shot center who has quite a bit of skill.

Goal Scoring
Letourneau’s goal-scoring shows as he was able to score at over a goal-per-game pace with 61 goals in 56 games played. Not only does he have a solid shot, but uses his skill to get himself into higher danger scoring chances which have lead to some of his goals.
Skating
Typically when a player is as tall as Letourneau the discussion becomes about how well the player is able to skate. Letourneau moves well, with solid crossovers in motion. Letourneau is able to quickly rush past opponents creating offense for himself and creating scoring chances.

Prospect Potential:
Letourneau will take time and isn’t near being NHL-ready, but he has the potential to make a difference in a depth role in the NHL one day. His numbers are quite impressive, but it’s important to keep in mind he was at a lower level of competition than a lot of the draft-eligible prospects. Letourneau’s difference between his floor and ceiling is large and as he moves up and competes in a higher level next season we will have a better idea of his potential.
Final Thoughts:
Dean Letourneau put up some crazy numbers this past season, and being a right-shot center is quite an intriguing prospect. Letourneau will look to continue performing well at a higher level next season and will look to learn how to use his size to his advantage further. Letourneau will be an interesting prospect to follow for whatever team drafts him.
