- In a Metropolitan Division clash that took place further south, the New Jersey Devils orchestrated an epic comeback over the Columbus Blue Jackets, highlighted by a goal-of-the-year contender from rookie defenseman, Luke Hughes. [New Jersey Devils]
- Hughes would be outdone some time later, as the Chicago Blackhawks’ Connor Bedard scored another stunning goal of his own, this time giving the Hawks a 2-1 overtime win over the Winnipeg Jets. [Chicago Blackhawks]
- Top Colorado Avalanche prospect, Nikolai Kovalenko, is expected to miss time well into the new year with yet another injury. [Colorado Avalanche]
