The Chicago Blackhawks named Mark Eaton and Meghan Hunter assistant general managers – of hockey operations and development, respectively – Wednesday.

The Blackhawks also appointed 2010 Stanley Cup champion Brian Campbell as an advisor within hockey operations and Karilyn Pilch as director of player personnel.

Mark Eaton previously served in the position under former general manager Stan Bowman, who promoted Eaton to the post in 2020. Eaton will oversee the Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate Rockford IceHogs and amateur and professional player development and performance.

Kyle Davidson, who replaced Bowman in an interim role before being appointed his permanent successor, was also an AGM. Ryan Stewart, the third AGM under Bowman, parted ways with the Blackhawks in March upon Davidson’s official hiring as GM.

Meghan Hunter most recently served as director of hockey administration. In her new role, Hunter will oversee budgeting, team services, contract execution, team security, and player services.

“Meghan and Mark have both been important parts of our operation for a number of years. We are lucky to have them in these important and redeveloped roles,” Davidson said in a statement. “Their leadership skills, shared vision with the rest of the leadership team and knowledge of the game gives me plenty of confidence.”

Campbell joined the Chicago Blackhawks’ front office as a development coach after he retired in 2017. Pilch previously served as a scout before her promotion. Prior to joining Chicago, she was the general manager of the Boston Pride of the Premier Hockey Federation.
