Chicago Blackhawks prospects Dominic Basse and Connor Kelley announced their transfer destinations Monday.

Basse, a goaltender, will make the move from Colorado College to St. Cloud State to remain in the NCHC. Kelley, a defenseman, is set to move from the NCHC’s Minnesota Duluth to the Hockey East’s Providence College.

Selected in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Dominic Basse went 10-26-3 with a 3.21 goals-against average and .891 save percentage in 41 games for Colorado College. He split time in net with Matt Vernon, the son of former NHL goaltender Mike Vernon. Basse will take over as the starter with David Hrenak graduating and signing with the Ontario Reign of the AHL.

Connor Kelley, a seventh-round pick of the 2021 NHL Draft, scored 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) in 64 games for Minnesota Duluth. He was teammates with fellow Chicago prospect Wyatt Kaiser, a 2020 third-round pick, at Duluth. Kelley will now be teammates with another Chicago Blackhawks prospect in Taige Harding, a 2021 third-round pick, at Providence College.
