Blue Jackets' Ryan Johansen will be a healthy scratch tonight

Star Columbus Blue Jackets forward Ryan Johansen is expected to be a healthy scratch tonight for the team's game against the Arizona Coyotes.

Johansen, who has six goals and 16 assists on the season, appears to be in head coach John Tortorella's doghouse. Tortorella benched his team's best offensive player in the third period of the Blue Jackets' 5-1 loss Tuesday night to the Dallas Stars. It was the second time this season the Blue Jackets coach has benched Johansen this season.

Johansen, 23, is thought to be the Blue Jackets' most talented player, but it would certainly appear his relationship with the organization in on shaky ground.

The Blue Jackets are currently dead last in the Metropolitan Division with just 25 points on the season, and reports have been surfacing that the Blue Jackets are entertaining trade offers for the player many consider the current face of the organization.

It's been a bizarre year for Johansen, who was reportedly hospitalized over the summer with an accelerated heart rate, and he's been criticized by Tortorella for his conditioning. This latest chapter, with Johansen being a healthy scratch, may signal the end is near for his time in Columbus.
