Brandon Hagel will return to the Chicago Blackhawks’ lineup Saturday night after a three-game absence.

Hagel suffered a shoulder injury on November 7 against the Nashville Predators. That ailment caused the rugged winger to miss the Blackhawks wins over the Pittsburgh Penguins, Arizona Coyotes, and Seattle Kraken. On November 10, the Hawks set Hagel’s timeline at approximately two weeks, so his return Saturday against the Oilers is slightly ahead of schedule.

In 13 games this season, Hagel has six points (four goals, two assists) and a 56.0% Corsi-for at even strength. Based on Blackhawks’ line rushes during Friday’s practice, Hagel will likely return to the second line alongside Jonathan Toews and Dominik Kubalik.

Elsewhere in the forward group, Mike Hardman will be back in the lineup after missing Wednesday’s game in Seattle due to an illness.

On the back end, Calvin de Haan will be a game-time decision. He missed Friday’s practice due to right wrist soreness.
