Washington Nationals superstar slugger Bryce Harper made it clear that when it comes to his NHL fandom, all loyalties are to his hometown by gifting custom bats to the Vegas Golden Knights earlier this week.

Harper revealed the special care package shipped off to the Golden Knights ahead of the team’s Game 4 showdown with the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday night in an Instagram story.

Victus Sports, the outfit that designed the custom bats, also highlighted the sweet pieces of memorabilia on Instagram.

Harper, by virtue of playing in D.C., is confronted with a conflict of interest of sorts between rooting for his Las Vegas squad and the local Washington Capitals. Harper has done his best to be diplomatic about the tough situation.

That said, there is abundant evidence, especially on social media, that Harper’s heart lies with the Golden Knights.

Enough said. While a 4-0 road loss at The Shark Tank that knotted up the Western Conference semifinal series at two games apiece undoubtedly put a damper on things, there’s no doubt Harper will continue to root for his original “home” team.
