The Calgary Flames made four roster moves on Friday morning in advance of practice. The club announced that they’ve activated goaltender Dan Vladar from the injury reserve list, recalled forward Dryden Hunt from the American Hockey League’s Calgary Wranglers, and assigned goaltender Dustin Wolf and forward Cole Schwindt to the Wranglers.

Vladar was injured in warm-up in New Jersey and placed on the injury reserve the following day. Friday is the first day he was eligible to be activated from the IR. In Vladar’s absence, Wolf backed up Jacob Markstrom twice on the road trip and played at home against San Jose in a 6-3 loss.

Hunt recently returned to the Wranglers after being out since late December with an injury. In his two games since returning, he had two assists. Hunt began the season on the Flames’ roster as a fourth-line option, and he returns to the club as a fourth line option with Jakob Pelletier day-to-day with an upper body injury.

Schwindt played just a single game on his most recent recall, the aforementioned loss to San Jose.

The moves keep the Flames at 23 players on their active roster: two goaltenders, eight defencemen and 13 forwards (including Pelletier). A.J. Greer is the lone player remaining on the injury reserve list.

The Flames are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host the Detroit Red Wings. The Wranglers are headed on a road trip, starting in Abbotsford on Saturday night.
