When the Canucks hit the road for Game 3 of their first round against the Nashville Predators, fans will still get a chance to watch the game from inside Rogers Arena, along with some added benefits.
In a press release shared on the Canucks’ website, the team revealed their plans for the opening round of the playoffs and what fans can expect when they step foot inside Rogers Arena for the first home playoff game in nearly a decade.
There was the standard practice of where the games could be viewed for the fans not present (Sportsnet and Sportsnet 650), fans getting complimentary playoff towels in their seats, and being on the lookout for Fin, who will be in the Lower Mainland to surprise some lucky fans with playoff packs. The Canucks also promised a playoff-exclusive experience and some new elements that have never been seen before.
Among them was the team hosting an ‘Away Game Viewing Party’ for Game 3 when the series shifts to Nashville. The team revealed that this would be a ticketed event costing $15 with proceeds going to the Canucks for Kids Fund and that there would be a discounted food and drinks menu available for those in the arena. While the announcement did not specify if this event would continue for any other road playoff game, it is quite the bargain for those hoping to catch a playoff game at Rogers Arena, even though the Canucks won’t be in Vancouver at that time.

Along with the Away Game Viewing Party, the Canucks will also be revitalizing the Toyota Party on the Plaza, where plenty of festivities will take place outside the arena before puck drop. Fans can expect to see performances at the Air Canada Stage, music, dancing, a beer garden, visits from Fin and Canucks alumni, and many more in the free-for-entry event.
Game 1 between the Canucks and Predators is set for Sunday at 7 p.m. PST.
