Chicago Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson announced Saturday that the club has placed forward Taylor Raddysh on injured reserve with a left groin strain.

The injury was suffered in last night’s 5-4 overtime loss to the Dallas Stars.

Raddysh logged 0:58 seconds of ice time before exiting the game.

The 25-year-old has registered five goals and five assists for 10 points in 35 games while averaging 16:38 minutes of ice time this season.

Raddysh was acquired by the Blackhawks at the 2022 trade deadline as part of the Brandon Hagel deal. Last season, he tallied a career-high 20 goals and 37 points in 78 games. Raddysh is in the final year of a three-year, $2,274,999 million contract he signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning; the contract has an average annual value of $758,333.

He made his NHL debut in the 2021-22 campaign and notched 12 points in 53 games before being dealt to Chicago. Raddysh primarily spent his time with the Bolts organization in the American Hockey League (AHL) with their affiliate Syracuse Crunch.

Subsequently, the Blackhawks announced that they have recalled forward Boris Katchouk from their AHL affiliate Rockford IceHogs. Katchouk has tallied five points in six games with Rockford, he has appeared in 17 games this season with the Blackhawks scoring two goals and four points. Coincidentally, Katchouk was also a part of the package that was sent from Tampa to Chicago for Hagel. Katchouk scored five goals and 18 points in 53 games during the 2022-23 campaign.

Chicago has an 11-22-2 record and currently sits 8th in the Central Division with 24 points and a .343-point percentage. The Blackhawks will once again play Dallas on Dec. 31 to cap off 2023.
