The Chicago Wolves swept the Rockford IceHogs with a 4-1 win in Game 3 on Sunday at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford.

Ivan Lodina, CJ Smith, Jack Drury, and Andrew Poturalski each scored for Chicago (Carolina Hurricanes). Richard Panik had two assists, and Alex Lyon made 29 saves.

Ian Mitchell scored on the power play at 12:57 of the third period for Rockford ( Chicago Blackhawks ) to avoid being shut out. Arvid Soderblom assisted on Mitchell’s goal and made 36 saves for the IceHogs.

With the win, the Chicago Wolves advance to the Central Division Final of the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs to play the Milwaukee Admirals (Nashville Predators). Milwaukee defeated the Manitoba Moose (Winnipeg Jets) 3-2 in their semifinal series. Chicago and Milwaukee are the No. 1 and 2 seeds in the Central, respectively.

The Wolves defeated the IceHogs 6-2 and 4-1 in the first two games of the Central Division Semifinals.

Lukas Reichel and Evan Barratt each scored for Rockford IceHogs in Game 1. Soderblom allowed five goals on 27 shots then Cale Morris made 11 saves in the third period. Soderblom made 45 saves and assisted on Alec Regula’s goal in Game 2.
