Connor Bedard continued his hot start at the 2024 IIHF World Championship with a three-point showing in Canada's 5-1 win over Denmark on Sunday. The Chicago Blackhawks' phenom forward scored two goals — for the second time in as many days — and added a late assist to help his home country stay undefeated in the tournament.

Bedard opened the scoring just over two minutes into the game when he fired a wrist shot from the point that cleared traffic in front of the net.

Canada played a sluggish second period but maintained a one-goal lead entering the final frame, which featured two more points from Bedard.

The 18-year-old began and finished a rush play when his backhander was steered aside to Dylan Guenther, who circled the net and returned the puck to Bedard for an easy tap-in from the blue paint.

With the game in hand, Canada received a power play in the dying minutes. Operating from the right wing, Bedard dished a pass to Pierre-Luc Dubois who scored in spinning fashion.

Following Sunday's performance, Bedard has five points — four goals and one assist — through two games of the 2024 IIHF Worlds. He'll have a chance to add to his numbers when Canada faces Slovakia on Monday at 9:20 AM CT.
