The American Hockey League has announced the full rosters for the 2024 AHL all-star game. The event will take place in San Jose, California on February 4-5. Each division will send 12 players to the game chosen by a committee of AHL coaches. Like the NHL, every team will have at last one player to represent them.

Included in the players that were chosen for the all-star game were a number of top NHL prospects. Jiri Kulich is one of the best prospects in the Buffalo Sabres’ pipeline and has been having a great season with the Rochester Americans. Through 24 games played, Kulich has 16 goals and 22 points and leads his team in goals. Also from the Americans is fellow Sabres’ prospect Isak Rosen, who leads the team in points with 24 in 27 games.

There are a number of other high profile forwards who’ve been chosen. They include Brennan Othmann of the Hartford Wolf Pack, Jonatan Berggren of the Grand Rapids’ Griffins, Dylan Guenther of the Tucson Roadrunners, and Graeme Clark of the Utica Comets.

Among the defensemen selected were Simon Edvinsson of the Griffins and Brandt Clarke of the Ontario Reign. Dustin Wolf is the highly-touted goalie prospect for the Calgary Wranglers who will be in net for the Pacific Division.

Many of these players are have played so well in the AHL that they won’t be playing in that league for much longer. Arizona Coyotes’ prospect Dylan Guenther has shown that he can produce at the NHL level and has been itching to get back into the lineup all season. So far, he’s played two games for the Coyotes this year and scored two goals and an assist in that span.

The all-star game will be a great opportunity for these players to showcase their talent and have some fun while they’re at it.
