The ECHL has announced that defencemen Koletrane Wilson from the Reading Royals and Cole Fraser from the Cincinnati Cyclones have each been suspended for two games for their actions during Friday Night’s game. Wilson was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for elbowing Adirondack Thunder forward Zach Walker at the 7:47 mark of the third period of last night’s game. Wilson has one goal and eight assists for nine points, along with 72 penalty minutes in 43 games this season with the Royals. The Alberta native will miss tonight’s game at Adirondack and Wednesday’s game vs. Wheeling Nailers.

Fraser was given a major for fighting, a major for boarding, and a game misconduct, all coming at the 7:17 mark of the second period. Fraser threw Iowa’s Will Caverly into the boards and then dropped the gloves with Max Johnson. Caverly would have to be stretchered off the ice after the Caverly hit. Fraser has one goal and 11 assists for 12 points and 72 penalty minutes in 45 games this year with the South Carolina Stingrays and Cincinnati Cyclones. The former fifth-round pick of the Detroit Red Wings will miss today’s game vs Iowa Heartlanders and Tuesday’s game at Indy Fuel.
