Vegas Golden Knights forward William Carrier is having the best season of his career -- by far.

The original Golden Knights has compiled 12 goals and six assists for 18 points this season, two shy of his career high, which he achieved last season.

Carrier is definitely Vegas' most improved player, as he's on pace to score 10 more points than last season.

The veteran forward got off to a solid start to the season after missing opening night. He posted a goal and an assist in his first three games.

Carrier then went quiet for six-straight games before turning it back on in the second half of the Golden Knights' nine-game win streak with goals in back-to-back games that were followed by back-to-back games with assists.

From Nov. 17 to Nov. 23, Carrier scored four goals in four games, including a two-goal performance in the Golden Knights' win over the Vancouver Canucks on Nov. 21.

He fell into another lull afterwards, scoring just a two points (two goals) in 13 games.

Carrier's best slate came in the month of January, as he totaled two goals and three assists in seven games.

He missed five games with an upper-body injury during the month.

Carrier leads the Golden Knights in game-winning goals (five), a testament to his ability to deliver in crucial moments.

He's been one of the team's better surprises, and his line of him, Nicolas Roy and Keegan Kolesar has had some of the best chemistry the team has seen this season.

They are the second most-used line on the team, with the first, of course, being the Misfits.

Carrier and the Golden Knights will look to get back on track after a four-game losing streak when they face the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.

Vegas has lost seven of its last eight contests.

Tuesday's game will be the team's fifth of its six-game road stretch.
