The Philadelphia Flyers announced giveaway, community and theme nights for this season at the Wells Fargo Center, including a game to honor former owner Ed Snider.
The Ed Snider Legacy Game will be Saturday, Jan. 6 at 1 p.m. against the Calgary Flames. The tribute will be to highlight his “dedication and contributions to the franchise and Philadelphia community,” according to a team news release.
Mark Recchi will be inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame on Jan. 27 when the Flyers play the Bruins. The Flyers will celebrate a Hall of Fame weekend that game when they honor the 50th anniversary of the Stanley Cup championship teams from 1974 and 1975.
