Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Justin Braun has retired after 842 games across 13 seasons in the NHL.

The NHL Alumni Association announced the 36-year-old's decision on Monday.

Braun retires with 199 points (34 goals, 165 assists), 317 penalty minutes, 1,314 blocks and 1,080 hits.

He registered two assists in 51 games with the Flyers this season.

A seventh-round pick by San Jose in 2007, he spent nine seasons with the Sharks before being traded to the Flyers in June 2019. He was traded to the Rangers in March 2022 before rejoining Philadelphia for the 2022-23 campaign.

Braun tallied 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) in 119 playoff games and helped the Sharks reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2016, where they lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins in six games.
