Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher provided the media with a number of injury updates to an already decimated Flyers roster.

Flyers’ leading scorer Travis Konecny left Thursday’s loss to the Boston Bruins with an upper-body injury. Following further evaluation, Konecny will remain out of the lineup for 10-14 days. In 17 games this season, he has registered 19 points.

The Flyers also announced that Scott Laughton has been placed on the injured reserve with an upper-body injury after taking a big hit from Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle Saturday. Laughton is expected to miss two weeks. He has seven points in 18 games.

Wade Allison suffered an oblique strain and a hip pointer in the Flyers’ 4-1 loss to the Senators on Nov. 12. The injury occurred after Allison laid a hit on Senators defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker. Allison went down in pain and needed help to leave the ice. He will remain out of the lineup for approximately two to three weeks. The 25-year-old winger has a history of lower-body injuries. Over the last two seasons, Allison has dealt with not only an MCL sprain but also two ankle injuries and an ACL tear he suffered during his four-year NCAA campaign at Western Michigan. This season, Allison has four points in 14 games and has racked up 42 hits.

33-year-old Cam Atkinson still awaits his season debut. He remains out on a week-to-week basis with an upper-body injury. The Flyers’ alternate captain registered 23 goals and 50 points last season and finished second on the team in points. Atkinson was acquired in a trade in the summer of 2021 that sent longtime Flyer Jakub Voracek to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Atkinson scored 213 goals through 627 career games with the Blue Jackets.

Furthermore, Fletcher provided updates on forwards Sean Couturier, James van Riemsdyk and Bobby Brink, stating that all players are still on track to return in their expected timelines. Couturier remains out three to four months following back surgery he received on Oct. 27, van Riemsdyk is out six weeks from Oct. 28 with a broken finger and Bobby Brink is out five months with a hip injury that he suffered on July 21.
