Just before the Philadelphia Flyers game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night, it was announced that forward Travis Konecny would be representing the Flyers as an NHL All-Star for the second time. Konecny, 26, leads the Flyers in scoring with 15 goals, 18 assists, and 33 points in 37 games played.

‘TK’ was last voted an NHL All-Star in 2020. That year, Konecny scored 24 goals, 37 assists, and 61 points for the Flyers in the 2019-20 season. The 26-year-old led the team in goals and points, but Jake Voracek led the Flyers in assists with 44.

Each Eastern Conference team only has one representative so far, but it’s worth noting that there is only one goalie (Igor Shesterkin) and one defenseman (Rasmus Dahlin) on that roster. This means that there could be room for other Flyers within the fan vote, such as Carter Hart, Travis Sanheim, or Sean Couturier.

Other Metropolitan Division players joining Konecny include Sidney Crosby, Mat Barzal, Sebastian Aho, Jack Hughes, Boone Jenner, and Tom Wilson. Nikita Kucherov, Sam Reinhart, David Pastrnak, Auston Matthews, Nick Suzuki, Brady Tkachuk, and Alex DeBrincat.

Fan voting to vote in other Flyers is now open via NHL.com/vote, the NHL App, and on X. Votes for the NHL All-Star game can be cast through Jan. 11. After that, another vote will be held from Jan. 13 through Jan. 18 to send an additional four players to the NHL All-Star Skills Competition on Feb. 2.

This year, NHL All-Star Weekend will run from Feb. 1 to Feb. 3, which includes a brand-new event called NHL All-Star Thursday. Celebrities and captains will draft four teams of 11 players to play in the NHL All-Star Game.
