If you’ve been wondering where “it” is, we’re here to tell you.

Former Vancouver Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau is joining the NHL Network as a TV studio analyst, according to NHL Public Relations. Boudreau previously served as an NHL Network analyst from August 2020 to December 2021.

Boudreau goes into this new role following his very public drawn-out firing from the Canucks last month.

Known for his bubbly personality and charm, Boudreau knocked it out of the park the last time he did television, and there’s certainly no indication or reason to believe that this time around will be any different.

“I am so happy to be back at NHL Network because the people I got to know are incredible, not only nice, but people who know hockey through and through,” said the Canucks’ former bench boss. “I’ve always been part of a team my whole life and this was one of the best that I’ve ever been on, so it was an easy decision for me when they asked if I wanted to come back.”

Boudreau has spent 15 seasons as an NHL head coach with the Washington Capitals, Anaheim Ducks, Minnesota Wild, and of course, the Vancouver Canucks. He has a career coaching record of 617-342 over 1087 regular season games (.626).

Boudreau will make his broadcast debut (er, second debut?) on this evening’s edition of NHL Tonight alongside Tony Luftman and Mike Rupp at 5 PM Pacific Time. Boudreau will then appear on NHL Tonight live at 3 PM Pacific tomorrow, February 10 with Adnan Virk and Kevin Weekes, before covering the intermissions for the Seattle Kraken at New York Rangers game with Jamison Coyle. Boudreau will also be back on NHL Tonight with Luftman and Rupp again on Saturday, February 11, beginning at 9:30 AM Pacific, ahead of Game 1 of the 2023 Beanpot Tournament.

Boudreau’s former Canucks squad will be in action tonight as they get set to take on former captain Bo Horvat’s New York Islanders. Puck drop for that game is at 4:30 PM Pacific Time.
