Four plus-money SOG props for Thursday's massive NHL slate

Oh you know, just 14 NHL games on a Thursday to parse through. The big slate has delayed our picks just a tad, but the results is hopefully some quality, winning plays, all at plus-money.

Note: I am risking .75u on all four of the below instead of 1u. Personal decision based on the volume of plays I am anticipating having.

Brent Burns 4+ shots (+162 FD)

I have no doubt this is a popular name today. It's for good reason, and I'll gladly join the ride and take Burnsy to go for 4+ shots tonight.

The Carolina defensemen has had some awesome volume lately. In his past three games, Burns has finished with 11, 11 and eight attempts. Those two 11-attempt games were both at home.

He's facing an Islanders team that is allowing the second-most shots per game to defensemen, and wow, has Burns loved playing New York. The past four games against the Islanders, Burns has five, six, five and six SOG. He's logged 4+ in six of the past seven meetings. Gotta love this price.

Matty Beniers 3+ shots (+215 FD)

I was high on Matty Beniers the other day and he came through, so I'm giving him a chance to keep it rolling against a Toronto team allowing nearly 33 shots per game at home. The Maple Leafs are also allowing the fifth-most shots to centers, so I think Beniers has a chance to really pop here.

The young top-line center has 3+ shots in four of his last six games, logging 6+ attempts in four of those games during that stretch. On the road, Beniers has 7+ attempts in three of his last four and 3+ shots in four of his last six.

You can pair him down at his original 1.5 line if you want, maybe even with Burns above. I'm grabbing him up here at this price.

Jordan Kyrou over 3.5 SOG (+136 FD)

I'm thinking a slop fest in this Buffalo-St. Louis game that opens up shots on both ends, and at this price I'll gladly jump on Jordan Kyrou.

Kyrou is leading the Blues in volume, particularly at home. He has 6+ attempts in six of his last seven home games and 6+ in five of his past six overall. Over the past two seasons, Kyrou is over 3.5 SOG in 61% of the games in which he logs 6+ attempts, and in the past four games against the Sabres, Kyrou has three times gone over this line, twice at five.

Nazem Kadri over 3.5 SOG (+125 FD)

Kadri is Mr. Consistent in Calgary, going over this line in four of his last five home games, averaging 5.6 SOG/game on 8.2 attempts/game.

I feel like I could cap this analysis here. Dallas is allowing 34.1 shots per game on the road over the past month, the Flames are going to find shots.

Oh, and bonus, but I did sprinkle just a few bucks on these four parlayed on FanDuel at +4282. Good luck tonight!
