Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel made NHL history on Wednesday becoming the fastest U.S.-born player to reach the 30-point threshold in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Eichel has tallied seven goals and 23 assists for 30 points in 24 games.

The 27-year-old has one goal and four points in two Stanley Cup Playoff games this year. Vegas currently leads the Dallas Stars 2-0 in the series.

Eichel tallied 31 goals and 37 assists for 68 points in 63 games. He missed 19 games due to a knee injury that required surgery.

The North Chelmsford, Massachusetts product was a key piece of Vegas’ attack in 2022-23, helping lead the team to its first Stanley Cup in franchise history last year on the heels of a 26-point run from the American center.

Eichel is in the sixth year of an eight-year deal that has an average annual value of $10 million per season. Per CapFriendly, Eichel has a no-movement clause, a deal he signed prior to the start of the 2017-18 NHL season while with the Buffalo Sabres. Vegas acquired the former No. 2 overall pick from the Sabres in exchange for Alex Tuch and Payton Krebs following a trade request from Eichel.

Vegas is set to face off against the Stars in game 3 in Vegas on Saturday.
