Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers to miss remainder of regular season with upper-body injury

Winnipeg Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers will miss the remainder of the regular season with an upper-body injury, head coach Paul Maurice announced Monday.

The Jets are hopeful he'll return for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Ehlers has 21 goals and 25 assists in 47 games this season. He tallied the lone goal for the Jets on Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 25-year-old is in his sixth season with the Jets after being selected ninth overall in 2014. He has amassed 136 goals and 167 assists in 416 regular-season games.

Winnipeg currently sits second in the North Division with a 27-17-3 record and has nine games remaining before the playoffs.
