Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg News reports that Winnipeg Jets forward Morgan Barron is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and will not play tomorrow against the Vancouver Canucks.

Barron left Tuesday’s 4-3 victory over the Seattle Kraken halfway through the game. McIntyre reported that “he noticed Barron limping a bit after an early shift.”

The 25-year-old has tallied 11 goals and seven assists for 18 points in 80 games with the Jets this season. Barron joined the Jets in 2021-22 following a trade that sent Andrew Copp to the New York Rangers. Barron has registered 21 goals and 22 assists for 43 points and 58 penalty minutes in 164 games with Winnipeg, he tallied one goal and one assist with the Rangers in 18 games.

Currently, the Jets have a 51-24-6 record with 108 points, second in the Central Division and three points ahead of the Colorado Avalanche with a game in hand. The two teams will face each other in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with Winnipeg clinching home ice advantage.

Meanwhile, McIntyre also reported that all five scratches from the last game which included Cole Perfetti, David Gustafsson, Rasmus Kupari, Nate Schmidt and Colin Miller will all be in the lineup against the Canucks on Thursday for the final game of the 2023-24 regular season.
