Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Adin Hill has held his own since Logan Thompson went down, but it looks like he may finally get his rest.

The Golden Knights will take on the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday, and for the first time this season, they may be having a third goaltender appear in net.

"Adin had a little bump from the game Saturday night, so we'll see," said Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy when he spoke to the media Monday. "Our plan was to get [Laurent] Brossoit in a game. I think I had mentioned that to you guys this week. So we were looking at tomorrow. So that might work out for everybody involved well, anyway."

Brossoit has played a total of 24 games for the Golden Knights, all having been last season. It's been almost a year, though, since the veteran goaltender has taken the net for Vegas.

"It does feel like a first NHL start," Brossoit said. "I feel like it's a long time coming, and I'm just very excited to be back in the net wearing a VGK jersey."

Brossoit has spent this season down with the Henderson Silver Knights, where he's earned a save percentage of .909 in 23 games.

"I've been playing a decent amount down in Henderson, and you get a lot of game experience doing that, regardless of the pace of play," Brossoit said. "Hopefully I can bring some of that into the game tomorrow, and hopefully it will be like riding a bike. Once I get out there, it will feel like it did in previous years."

Brossoit will have the benefit of being surrounded by a familiar group around him.

"It's great," he said. "I love the intensity up here. Practices are intense. It's nice to see the guys again. Having a year with them last year makes coming back up that much more comfortable. And it's just a lot of fun up here. I'm glad to be here."
