Lightning forward Alex Killorn doubtful for Game 5 of Stanley Cup Final

Alex Killorn has not played since Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, and he could miss Wednesday's potential Stanley Cup-clinching Game 5.

Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper announced ahead of Game 5 against the Montreal Canadiens that Killorn is doubtful to play after suffering an injury on a blocked shot in Game 1.

It's unfortunate for the defending champion Bolts that Killorn is still sidelined. He plays a crucial role on the team's second line alongside Steven Stamkos and Anthony Cirelli. He is also a member of the Lightning's top power-play unit in addition to being stellar on the penalty kill.

Killorn currently ranks fifth on the Lightning with 17 points this postseason. His eight goals rank second among players still active in the playoffs. Nikita Kucherov and Stamkos also have eight goals each.

The Lightning lead the Canadiens 3-1 and could become the first team to win the Stanley Cup on home ice since 2015 with a win Wednesday night.
