Lightning score three unanswered in comeback win over Rangers in Game 3

The Tampa Bay Lightning faced a two-goal deficit and were in danger of falling behind 3-0 against the New York Rangers, but they managed to score three straight and win, 3-2.

The game-winning goal for the Lightning came with just 41.6 seconds left in regulation when Victor Hedman found Ondrej Palat, who buried a shot before Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin could get across the net. It was Palat's 10th career game-winning goal in the playoffs, setting a new Lightning franchise record.

The back-to-back Stanley Cup champions couldn't get a puck past Shesterkin until Nikita Kucherov scored on a power play with 9:10 left in the second period to cut New York's lead in half. Early in the third period, Steven Stamkos tied the game with another power-play goal for the Lightning.

Tampa Bay goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed a pair of goals in the second period, but he finished with 28 saves on 30 shots on goal.

The Rangers still lead the Eastern Conference Final 2-1 with Game 4 in Tampa scheduled for Tuesday night at 8 p.m ET.
