Tyler Yaremchuk and Steven Ellis discussed some defensemen who could be on the move in the latest episode of "Daily Faceoff Live."

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s look at some other D-men who might be available. Some guys we expect to be moved or who could potentially be moved before the deadline. John Klingberg in Anaheim, Vladislav Gavrikov in Columbus, Mattias Ekholm in Nashville, Erik Karlsson, Jake McCabe, Joel Edmundson, but one guy who is really interesting to me.

If you’re a team looking for an offensive defenseman and maybe you don’t want to commit to the term, you don’t want to pay the price for Jakob Chychrun, what about Shayne Gostisbehere?

This is a guy who can put up points, this is a guy who is a pending UFA. 28 points in 40 games on a Coyotes team that’s largely been below average for most of the season. If the asking price for Chychrun is two firsts and a prospect, what’s the asking price for Gostisbehere?

We could be talking about maybe just a second, maybe just a third. Get that money retained down, you can squeeze him along with some other additions. When I look at this list Gostisbehere is the name that might be a little undervalued compared to what we’re hearing about everyone else and their asking prices.

Steven Ellis: I think part of that is because his career has been a lot of hit-and-miss. You look at his start in Philadelphia and everyone was like wow this guy is going to be huge. Then he had a couple of off years and was a healthy scratch a lot. I think going to Arizona where the pressure was off and he was able to play the best hockey we’ve seen him play.

He can put up points. He’s a guy that for me, just because of some of the decision-making he makes with the puck, might have been better as a middle-six forward. I think that’s the path he should have gone. He knows how to put up points. And again, kind of like Chychrun, if he goes to a place where he can be more freewheeling and play with someone who’s a bit more defensively grounded, I think that he would be a very valuable pick-up.
