The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they have placed Colin White on IR with an upper-body injury. White, who was injured in practice on Monday, doesn’t have a timeline for his return to the lineup, but a timetable is expected in the coming days. White, who was claimed off waivers from the Pittsburgh Penguins, has played in five games with the Canadiens but has yet to find the scoresheet. He was also scoreless in his 11 games with the Penguins this season. The Boston native has played in 308 games over the course of his eight-year career, putting up 44 goals and 69 assists for 113 points as he’s also spent time with the Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers.

Montreal did get some good news as Rafael Harvey-Pinard returned to the lineup tonight vs the Nashville Predators. Harvery-Pinard has struggled with injuries all season as he’s been limited to only 24 games this season as he’s put up one goal and six assists for seven points. The Quebec Native had 14 goals and six assists for 20 points in 34 games last season with Montreal. Harvey-Pinard is one of Montreal’s young pieces that could be a big part of this team’s future.
