New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced Tuesday that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Victor Mancini on a two-year, entry-level contract.

Mancini was oringally drafted No. 159 overall by the Rangers in the 2022 NHL Draft.

Mancini spent the 2023-24 campaign with the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks in the NCAA where he compiled four goals and six assists for 10 points in 40 games; he ranked tied for fourth on the Mavericks with a plus-7 rating and fifth in shots with 78.

Throughout three seasons with the Mavericks, Manicin compiled four goals and 19 assists for 23 points in 110 career games. During the 2022-23 campaign, Mancini appeared in 32 games logged a career-high eight assists and led all Mavericks skaters with 41 blocked shots. That season, he was named to the nCHC Acanadmic All-Conference and a Distinguished Scholar.

Prior to his NCAA tenure at Nebraska-Omaha, Mancini split the 2020-21 season with the Green Bay Gamblers in the United States Hockey League (USHL) and Hanhals IF in Sweden’s Junior League and Frolunda’s J20 team. During his time with Green Bay, he compiled four goals and nine assists for 13 points in 33 games and appeared in two USHL Playoff contests. While in Sweden with Frolunda, he scored 14 goals and 10 assists for 24 points in 57 games over parts of two seasons.
