NHL best bets: Three team total targets for Saturday's slate
It's the last big hockey slate before teams start heading out on the All-Star break, so let's make the most of it with a pair of winners in our pocket for the day.
1u: Ottawa & Florida over 2.5 goals (+134 DraftKings)
It seems best to target the New York Rangers here on a back-to-back, fresh off a 5-2 loss to Vegas. New York is now allowing 3.2 goals per game on the road over the last month, and Jonathan Quick is in net who has let in 3+ goals in four of his past five games.
Ottawa has six, five and three goals in the past three against New York, and they as a team are averaging 3.6 goals per game at home over the past month.
We pair with the Florida Panthers finding three goals of their own, something they've done in six of the past seven meetings against the Islanders. The Panthers have 3+ goals in 14 of their last 16 games and own a pretty significant power-play edge that should help them get the puck in the net.
1u: Minnesota Wild over 3.5 goals (-112 FanDuel)
Minnesota's offense has come alive of late, tallying 5+ goals in four of its last six games. We just need four here, and we should be in luck, as the Anaheim Ducks are allowing 4.1 goals per game as the visitor across the last 30 days.
The Wild have had Anaheim's number, scoring 4+ goals in seven of the last eight meetings. If you're looking for some point props instead of the team total, Minnesota's second line led by Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy has been absolutely rolling. You could parlay those two to grab a point at +116.
