NHL bets: Picking on the worst teams with a pair of point SGPs

Saturday in the NHL brings about a massive 15-game slate, and with so many options, the clearest games of interest typically rise to the top. For today's best bets, we're welcoming two of the league's worst defenses into our lives by attacking the Ducks and Sharks with a few plus-money plays.

1u: Connor McDavid over 1.5 points & Evan Bouchard over 0.5 points (+106 DraftKings)

Some are saying I deserve a prize for showing the restraint to limit this play to only 1u, because for a second there I considered playing this for about 3u.

It's extremely difficult for me to see a world where Edmonton does not throttle Anaheim today. Every time the Ducks come to town, the Oilers pour on goals, and the numbers today suggest it's more of the same. A massive power-play edge only further pushes that belief. DK has shown their hand also, pricing Edmonton to go over 4.5 goals at -115.

Rather than go there, I'm opting for a pair of the steadiest producers the Oilers have.

McDavid has been a force with his points prop, going over in 13 of his past 14 at home. Bouchard has been incredibly steady as well, hitting in nine straight at home and tallying 13 total points in that stretch.

Both have hit this prop in eight of their last 10 against Anaheim, and each of the past five home games hosting the Ducks. Here's to more of the same.

1u: Jake Neighbours & Pavel Buchnevich over 0.5 points (+128 DK)

We go next to St. Louis, another team that seems poised to pour on some goals this evening. The Blues host the Sharks, one of our favorite targets all year, and St. Louis is also fighting for their postseason fate and plenty motivated to pick up an easy win at home here.

Neighbours was recently elevated to the top line and has been a steady producer for St. Louis, piling up nine points in his past eight and seven points in his last seven at home.

We get him to plus-money by pairing him with linemate Pavel Buchnevich, who has absolutely loved facing San Jose. Buch has a point in seven straight meetings with the Sharks, totaling 13 in that stretch.

Easy does it here today, let's find us plenty of scoring with our guys involved!
