NHL bets: SGPs for Rangers and Oilers for Friday, Feb. 9
Yesterday was no good in the NHL, but we move on to a fresh night on the ice and continue the approach of loading up a pair of players on the same line to record a point. We've got two such combos that stand out on this small Friday slate, both at plus-money.
Vincent Trocheck & Alexis Lafreniere 1+ point each (+144 DK)
Artemi Panarin started his career in Chicago and has done a good job of not letting them forget it. Over the past seven games, Panarin has 18 points against the Blackhawks, with 2+ in five straight.
OK, that's well and good, but he's not in this play. Rather than follow Panarin's 1.5 point prop line, a fine choice, I prefer riding the wave that is Panarin's success against Chicago into his two linemates, Vincent Trocheck and Alexis Lafreniere.
If Panarin is racking up some goals and assists, it seems only logical that the guys on the ice with him should join the party.
Trocheck has a point in four of his last six games, three straight on the road, and he has five points in his past two meetings with the Blackhawks. Lafreniere has four points in his past five, three in his past two road games, and three in his past two against Chicago.
Zach Hyman & Ryan Nugent-Hopkins 1+ point each (+104 DK)
Being able to parlay these two gentlemen and get it to plus-money seems like a bit of a gift, and it's one I'll gladly open.
Hyman and RNH skate on Edmonton's top line with Connor McDavid, and they're also on the Oilers top power play unit. That gives them plenty of chances to get involved here, and Edmonton tends to dominate the Ducks.
Hyman has seven points in his past four meetings with Anaheim and Nugent-Hopkins has 11 in his last nine against them.
