NHL bets: Three SGP plays for Saturday's slate

It's a big NHL day today, with only one NBA game and the college football season all but over. If you're looking for your betting fix, look no further.

I'm on FanDuel today pairing a few teammates in spots I like for shots. If you don't have access to FD, I will note that Brad Marchand, Jonathan Marchessault and Auston Matthews are my preferred looks up at their straight lines.

David Pastrnak 5+ shots, Brad Marchand 3+ shots (+117 FanDuel)

Boston gets the day started early at 1 p.m. ET, hosting the Arizona Coyotes. Arizona is allowing 35.3 shots per game on the road over the past month, so I certainly want a piece of the Bruins despite them laying an egg on Thursday.

These two are clear as day the best options I'm seeing, so opting for some simplicity to start a day.

David Pastrnak is averaging nearly 10 attempts per game over his last 10, and he's logged 5+ SOG in four straight meetings with the Coyotes. Brad Marchand is averaging five SOG/game on 7.4 attempts/game across his last five. He's hit 3+ shots in eight of his last nine home games and in six of his past seven games against Arizona.

Jonathan Marchessault 3+ shots, William Karlsson 2+ shots (+116 FD)

Vegas has been one of the more dynamic offenses of late, at least when it comes to getting pucks on net. I don't see that slowing down today against a very familiar foe in the Dallas Stars.

Jonathan Marchessault has gone over 2.5 shots on goal in eight of his last 11 games, with 4+ SOG each time. He's hit this 3+ number in 11 of his past 14 games vs. the Stars.

William Karlsson is as consistent as they come on the road. He's recorded two SOG in 13 of 14 as the visitor, and has also hit this number in six straight against Dallas.

Auston Matthews 4+ shots, John Tavares 3+ shots (+101 FD)

Over the last 10 games, the Nashville Predators are allowing the third-most shots per game to centers, which had me digging into Auston Matthews and John Tavares today.

Both have the volume I like to see. Matthews has 10+ shot attempts in four of his last five games, while Tavares is averaging nearly seven attempts per game at home of late.

Matthews has 4+ shots in five straight meetings with the Predators, and Tavares has 3+ shots in nine of the last 10 against Nashville.

Good luck today and enjoy your Saturday!
