NHL bets: Two plus-money looks for a packed Saturday on the ice

We're keeping it high-level for Saturday's NHL action, focused in on just two plays that seem enticing on the ice. Hopefully you like plus-money, that's where we're going with these wagers today.

Jake Neighbours point (+120 DraftKings)

This price just seems like a gift that we should quietly say thank you for and move about our day. Between you and me, St. Louis' Jake Neighbours has piled up seven points in his last four games. A big reason why is his power-play involvement on the top unit for the Blues, with Neighbours recording four PPP in this four-game stretch.

That should come in handy here against a Nashville penalty kill that comes in third-worst over the last month, and by all means, consider rolling the dice on Neighbours PPP at +360.

I prefer the standard point, especially when you consider that Dallas' second line just dismantled the Predators on Thursday. That's where Neighbours is stationed, giving him plenty of pathways to profitability today. He had a point in the first meeting against Nashville this season.

Buffalo over 2.5 goals & Toronto over 3.5 goals (+167 FanDuel)

I'm intrigued in backing Buffalo here tonight coming off a shutout loss. The Sabres have been far steadier on the road of late, averaging 4.2 goals per game away from home across the last month and a half. While they've hit this 2.5 number in just three of their last six, I like picking on goalie Filip Gustavsson, who has allowed 3+ goals in four of his past five starts and 11 of his last 13.

The Wild are seeing 3.2 goals per game scored against them at home over the last 45 days, and Buffalo has notched 3+ in six of the past eight meetings.

We pair with Toronto, who one has to imagine rolls against Anaheim tonight. The Leafs are averaging 3.5 goals per game at home over the last month and a half and the Ducks are surrending 3.7 goals/game on the road in that stretch. Anaheim's defensive woes stretch further though, as they also have a significant disadvantage on the penalty kill and tend to allow 35+ shots on net.

The Leafs should be able to control the pace here, and they've scored 4+ against Anaheim in five of the past eight matchups.
