NHL futures: What has the Golden Knights slump done to their Stanley Cup odds?

In case you hadn't noticed, the Vegas Golden Knights are in a bit of an early-season swoon and solutions are hard to come by. Just how much has that hurt them with oddsmakers?

The defending Stanley Cup champs are enduring a rough November, dropping six of their last eight games including two shutouts at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Arizona Coyotes.

The slump puts them in danger of being bumped from first place in the Pacific Division, where the Vancouver Canucks and surging Los Angeles Kings are just a couple of points behind. Even just a couple of months into the season, the downturn in production has fans and bettors alike worried.

So what has this string of losses done to Vegas' betting chances of hoisting Lord Stanley's Mug next June?

Surprisingly, the Golden Knights' current losing woes haven't hurt their odds of winning another Stanley Cup too much. DraftKings still has the 31st team in the league priced at 8-1 to win the Cup, which isn't too shabby considering the Colorado Avalanche are on a four-game winning streak and also listed at 8-1 odds.

Clearly, losing streaks aren't hurting any teams' odds at this point of the season. The Boston Bruins are the current 15-2 (+750) favorites at DK to win it all, and the B's have lost three straight. Meanwhile, the Nashville Predators have won six straight games and are 100-1 long shots to win the Cup.

The Golden Knights do have a chance to end a tough November on a high note, however. But it won't be easy as they travel north to face a Canucks team that is 8-1-1 at home this season. Vancouver may still be a 25-1 long shot at DK to win the Stanley Cup, but they are -115 favorites to win on Thursday night at Rogers Arena.
